- Confirm gas, water and electricity are turned on
- Gas water heater pilots burning
- Replace any burned out light bulbs
- Test all smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.
Replace batteries if needed - Move wood, stored items or debris away from foundation
- Make sure the attic, crawl space or basement are accessible
- Trim tree limbs and shrubs away from the properties exterior
- Repair minor things like leaky faucets, missing door handles and trim
